On the day before Midsummer’s Eve, me, Melissa, Micke and Malin visited Dan and Carola out in Tillberga. It was a marvelous summer evening with fantastic food and equally good company. Dan is a regular master chef. I gave him a little present that I bought last summer in Pittsburgh as a souvenir. Dan is a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins and it was he who convinced me to sign up on the official Penguins message board. And that’s where I got to know Melissa… so it’s really thanks to him that we met.
To the left you can see Mario Lemieux, the big hockey god in Pittsburgh and savior of the Penguins. To the right my favorite Canadien Michael Cammalleri. The figurines are made by a company called McFarlane and they are very popular in North America. They can actually be worth a good chunk of change. When we, Melissa and I, stopped in Breezewood there was this cool souvenir shop where they had tons of (mostly) Pittsburgh-related stuff. There were a couple of Penguins figurines, a couple of Sidney Crosby figurines at least, but I figured Dan would like Lemieux better.
Hmm. Seems I got a little sidetracked here…
Anyway… On Monday after midsummer’s we went over to Micke and Malin at Norra Gryta. To me delight my friend Wenne also came to visit. Melissa and I had a wonderful evening. I’m very glad Melissa got to meet my best friends, especially when they’re such awesome people as the ones I’m talking about here.
Melissa also likes cats very much, and she’s gotten me to like them too. So it didn’t exactly make the evening less great when we got to meet this adorable little critter.
